So. My diet didn't work. I was eating 1/3 of a baked chicken breast, with less than 1/3 of a cup of lima beans or some other veggie like broccoli three times a day. Sometimes with a snack in between one of those, and it was usually another veggie portion or a small spoon of peanut butter. On the third night of this diet, I would give myself a tiny ( Read more... )

You're not a freak of nature. I really was going through the same thing. I've gained 65 pounds since high school even though I've completely altered my diet, tried altering my workout regime, everything... This is working for me, I don't KNOW that it would work for you, but what I did before I started it (because a friend of mine did it and lost 30 pounds that he did NOT gain back after returning to eating whatever he wanted), was read this guy's book (well, most of it, I skimmed a little). The book can be found here: http://www.hcgprotocol.com/pandi.pdf

See if it speaks to you, and if it does, feel free to ask me ANY questions about it and I will try to help :)

You are not alone!!! Don't ever think that you are!

Can you believe that I read that whole thing? lol
I stayed up all night reading it, and it was very interesting, I must say. However, it seems to be a bit...precarious. One little variance from the diet and you're off for 3-4 days? One guy adding an eye cream to his glass eye made him gain 2 pounds? That just seems a bit much to me. The research is very interesting though, and I want to try it, but I feel like I wouldn't be able to do it at home. There are too many questions I would need answered, like I wouldn't even begin to know how to prepare that food and if the food here is different and if it is, how different and how do I fix it, etc... Plus, I'm more overweight than the next person so that would require multiple sessions, and I really am not sure how to eat something that doesn't have sugars or starches, which is required when you're off the diet. It's just REALLY strict, and I feel like I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Wow... I didn't even read the WHOLE book! Haha But I'm glad you did your research. I won't deny that figuring little things out isn't a bit difficult in the beginning, but that's what friends are for ( ... )
