It's now less than a fortnight until I set off on the sleeper train north from London to Inverness for my ride from John o' Groats to Land's End. Some people I know (mostly only online) are currently in hell. They are riding the queen of european endurance cycling, a 1200 km ride called Paris-Brest-Paris, which as the name suggests is a ride from Paris to Brest and back.
