Maybe that student thinks that the National Inquirer is 'journalism'?? Put a few words on a page and then matte in lots of pictures around them that are photoshopped to make it appear that Paris Hilton is locking lips with OJ while Britney drives them over a cliff in a Hummer. Isn't that journalism???

Levar Burton would need an industrial strength can opener to open her mind, it sounds like!

Oh god, I wish I could not believe you, but unfortunately I've heard things like this way too much to think it's untrue. And that makes ME cry. Levar Burton and I weep collectively.

Seriously, people, crack open a real book every once in a while -- you might even try one with a *GASP* Table of Contents! O, THE HORROR!1!!! Sorry, the picture-books mommy used to read you don't count, either.

srsly, one of my biggest pet peeves are people who don't read. journalism students who don't read boggle my mind and DAMMN i loved me some reading rainbow as a kid. Levar Burton would be proud of me, I not only read, I keep reading thick thousand-page political science books now that I've graduated. WOOT.
