Notable Quotable:  I present you with this week's reigning *facepalm* quote from my Composition class this afternoon.

When the professor told us to take turns introducing ourselves to the class, asking us to include a mention of what kind of relationship we have with reading and writing, there was one student who said the following:

I guess they have a future career at one of the major news networks waiting for them. Based on what I have observed, they could all work for the Cincinnati Enquirer. The only thing they 'inquire' about is nothing that inquiring minds would care about.

Sorry you have to put up with it, but unfortunately, there are more of those in the business world than you would like to think about. Sounds like another of those life lessons in patience and perseverance!

Gah, I know. It's crazy how bad news reporting is getting.

And yes, definitely a lesson in patience and perseverance, LOL.

Love you, Joyce!

Heeeey, thumbs up on recommending the Sharyn McCrumb books! I've started "The Ballad of Frankie Silver" and I really like it! :)

Hey Kathryn! I'm glad you're enjoying it! :D If you like that one, then I'm almost certain you'll like "She Walks These Hills" - that one is probably my favorite of hers. If you get through both of those, then I'd also recommend "The Rosewood Casket", which is another one of hers that I've read.

My mom got me into reading her books. If you ever need any more mystery recommendations, my mom is huge on mysteries, so if I can't necessarily come up with anything, I can always check with her. :)
