Penny turned a year old today. Crazy stuff. The first few months seemed pretty long, with time since then accelerating pretty quickly. It's only been two months since Penny has mostly slept through the night, which is apparently long enough to think that another baby wouldn't be so bad. Right now, Penny can stand supported up against the couch provided that she has a spotter, otherwise she'll fall down in just a few seconds. She can pull herself along on the ground and will get into the crawling position, but not quite crawl. The seemingly never ending task of painting is beginning to draw down. This weekend with some help at the end from Annie, I got the bathroom painted along with my closet. It's a shame that after 10 years of being on LJ, and cycling through a number of journals that I followed, that I appear to be the last one standing. I get it. My circle is getting smaller and there are better, more capable blogs out there.

The house being a mild fixer has necessitated much of our free time being devoted towards taking care of various tasks. Instead of listing what needs to be done, I think I will mention what has been done for my own recognition that it's come a long way:

Lately's she's been holding things with her hands and holding her own hands. She just had a week of waking up 4-5 times a night, but thankfully is reverting back to twice a night. Tomorrow marks one month until our baby's estimated due date. We are at the point now where the variation between the likely earliest, two weeks from now, and very latest, six weeks, seems quite large.
