I sometimes wonder how many deaths the likes of Benny Hinn has caused over the years. Those faithful ones who suffer the consequences are good people, who have been misdirected down a very dark path indeed. Perhaps this awful experience woke them up to the reality of the situation.

Things like that always make me think of the "He helps those who help themselves" saying. I'm not sure I would have been able to restrain myself from saying that in that kind of situation.

It may be a bit much to say I have remarkable restraint; you know it's my mouth that gets me in trouble most of the time. I think I was just stunned silent at the momentous stupidity of the situation.

That makes me wonder just how much isn't said because of restraint and how much just out of shock at the sheer idiocy of some people.
Stunned silence, restraint may be the same thing ;-)
