I always felt that boy!clones was inevitable on this show, because if they had the technology why wouldn't they breed clones in both sexes. When the moment came I was just relieved they weren't Felix clones. I like there being only one Felix and I really like how Felix is an accepted member of the clone sestra-hood. God knows he's earned it. After Felix, I thought the male clone might be Paul, but Mark makes a lot more sense.
I'm still confused over Paul, but I've accepted that Paul and Mrs S are maybe supposed to be very shady and unpredictable. I missed Donnie in the finale too. It's a shame they couldn't have aired an extended episode because as great as the finale was, some of it felt very rushed.
Your finale GIF says it all *sigh* Guess that leaves us with Teen Wolf coming back.

And yes, Helena's dancing. It didn't disappoint. :D Oh, god. It was perfect. The way she kinda morphed from a gentle sway into, well, what that was by the end there!! I mean, we all knew we had it in her. The last time we saw her dancing was with Olivier's severed tail! Oh, Helena, bb.

For all the show has said (and will no doubt continue to say) about the role of women, universe-wise, it made no sense for there only to be female clones. I'm also freaking relieved they didn't go with Felix. And I already mentioned how much I didn't want it to be Paul. Mark makes total sense and I'm interested to see where the storyline goes (as long as it's not at the expense of Alison/Donnie - or with the side-effect of turning Alison into the comedic relief with no actual storyline/substance. I just hope the actor playing Mark can come close to matching Tatiana when it comes to playing distinguishable clone characters. And I don't watch to lose too much screentime from our girl clones and their allies.

And if Paul was in on it with Mrs. S the whole time and some super-duper hot-shot double agent, well, he's been pretty shit at his job!
Their 'reveal' seems very convenient.
At least I can firmly put him in the d-bag camp and be done with it, regardless of his work with Mrs. S! Makes my life easier, I guess!
** Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I read it! And thank you for linking it! I feel like at least I know what they ~intended to portray. Even if I still don't buy that they've been selling that piece of character development from the pilot.

It definitely seemed to be implying that. It was for sure implying that! In fact, as soon as Sarah said 'I know him' I knew it WASN'T gonna be Paul because that was just one step too far in the mis-direct!
I don't think they ret-conned it? Okay, good. I'm still not convinced, but I'm glad that there are other explanations out there.
Like why is it such a big deal/secret for her to tell Sarah? Yeah, I don't really follow this either. I mean, I get that it's shocking. The military has bred an Army of clones. But yeah, why all the cloak and dagger with revealing it to Sarah? I guess time will tell!
Tbh, I've always questioned their science explanations. It's the one thing I try not to think about too hard because it all starts to quickly fall apart when I do.

Yeah, I hope time will tell and we do get a reason for all the cloak and dagger. Especially as there's been this whole build up of 'something sinister going on' for ages, and if the sinister thing is just boy clones, it's kind of like, well okay, we knew about the girl clones in the pilot, so it's really not that sinister. I just hope the sinister aspect isn't their execution of things alone, because that would seem unnecessary. I really hope it's all leading up to something good.
Yeah, I know I should take the science with a pinch of salt, it just bugs my inner scientist.

This, and everything else you said about Rachel. It's all sort of eerie and sad and terrible at once, and you feel for her even though you've WATCHED her do super-terrible things: rape, kidnapping, withholding medical care from a terminally ill patient, probable unlawful imprisonment of her own father - and still, I was sad with her when her father died. TATIANA MASLANY IS A SORCERESS AND I LOVE HER.
And the way she continues to refer to Felix as "brother seestra" ♥Everything with Helena and Felix and Art was gold, too ( ... )

but why wouldn't they have checked the rest of the clones to see if there was a bone marrow match for Cosima? THIS BUGS ME SO MUCH!!!!!! Cosima and Delphine in particular should ABSOLUTELY know this. I buy it not occurring to Alison and Sarah, but no way do scientists of the calibre of those two (not to mention Duncan and Leekie) not think of this. No way.
(This is why I try not to think about the science too hard! It's falls aparts readily under even a small amount of scrutiny).
And I doubt we'll see as many boy!clones as we have girl clones - I hope we don't, actually, because I want the show's focus to really stick with the girls. This. I hope the focus remains largely on the girls, but I also think that's what will happen, too. I mean, they had the Proletheans as their side-plot this season, the boy!clones will probably be next ( ... )
