I can't stop re-watching the clone dance party or its making of video. Apart from being technically seamless, it was such a beautiful moment of clone club solidarity. And yes, Helena's dancing. It didn't disappoint. :D

I always felt that boy!clones was inevitable on this show, because if they had the technology why wouldn't they breed clones in both sexes. When the moment came I was just relieved they weren't Felix clones. I like there being only one Felix and I really like how Felix is an accepted member of the clone sestra-hood. God knows he's earned it. After Felix, I thought the male clone might be Paul, but Mark makes a lot more sense.

I'm still confused over Paul, but I've accepted that Paul and Mrs S are maybe supposed to be very shady and unpredictable. I missed Donnie in the finale too. It's a shame they couldn't have aired an extended episode because as great as the finale was, some of it felt very rushed.

Your finale GIF says it all *sigh* Guess that leaves us with Teen Wolf coming back.

or its making of video. There's a 'making of' video?!!! Well, I know what I'll be going to look for once I've typed out this reply...

And yes, Helena's dancing. It didn't disappoint. :D Oh, god. It was perfect. The way she kinda morphed from a gentle sway into, well, what that was by the end there!! I mean, we all knew we had it in her. The last time we saw her dancing was with Olivier's severed tail! Oh, Helena, bb.

because if they had the technology why wouldn't they breed clones in both sexes. I agree completely. For all the show has said (and will no doubt continue to say) about the role of women, universe-wise, it made no sense for there only to be female clones. I'm also freaking relieved they didn't go with Felix. And I already mentioned how much I didn't want it to be Paul. Mark makes total sense and I'm interested to see where the storyline goes (as long as it's not at the expense of Alison/Donnie - or with the side-effect of turning Alison into the comedic relief with no actual storyline/substance. THESE THINGS MAKE ME ( ... )

Regarding your questions about Paul, this post-finale interview with the writers explains a lot. I really wish the episode had been longer to make these things clearer.

Full clone party making-of right here!

I just hope the actor playing Mark can come close to matching Tatiana when it comes to playing distinguishable clone characters. And I don't watch to lose too much screentime from our girl clones and their allies.

Yeah, unfortunately** reading that interview kinda makes me a little disillusioned with parts of the episode. It's never a good story-telling sign when you need to spell out your plot in a post-episode interview. Particularly when it's about things the audience was clearly SUPPOSED to get!

And if Paul was in on it with Mrs. S the whole time and some super-duper hot-shot double agent, well, he's been pretty shit at his job!

Their 'reveal' seems very convenient.

At least I can firmly put him in the d-bag camp and be done with it, regardless of his work with Mrs. S! Makes my life easier, I guess!

** Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I read it! And thank you for linking it! I feel like at least I know what they ~intended to portray. Even if I still don't buy that they've been selling that piece of character development from the pilot.

As for that video. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING IT. HAAAAAA!! Oh, Tatiana. I would feel SO SELF-CONSCIOUS!! Reason number 92349 why I'm not an actress!

See, it BOTHERS me that we're all confused enough that everyone has the same questions that need answering that are not even about morals and nature/nurture etc, but more about SURELY PAUL WAS NOT FAKING IT THAT WHOLE TIME?! I feel as though they've ruined Sarah/Paul for me and that is not okay. I'm going to hate Cal now on principal. He's probably Tatiana Maslany in disguise anyway he's that good at pretending to be the good guy.

Bitter?

Me?

There are SO MANY THINGS about this claim (Paul was in on it from the start -- on all levels) that do NOT ring true for me. SO MANY THINGS.

I'm not bitter about it from a Paul perspective because his disappearance for large chunks of this season has significantly impacted on my invested in him. And I'm not bitter about THAT because, well, Rachel, for one! And Alison and Donnie!

I am, however, disappointed in it from a storytelling perspective.

I wouldn't say that I'm bitter about it either, but disappointment is definitely true. I just think that there was so much about the way that Paul acted that simply does not make sense in the context of someone who knew that there were clones. I mean, he stalked Sarah to find out if she was really Beth. He freaked out about her lack of scar. He freaked out that she WAS a clone. He looked like he was going to have a nervous breakdown when he thought that he had basically caused Beth's death. And it just makes such a mockery out of his and Sarah's relationship from S1. It's not even that I'm desperate for them to be OTP (I'd rather that she was just kicking ass all on her own tbh) BUT THEY COULD HAVE LET ME HAVE S1. It's shitty retconning and it makes no sense and I can't get my head around it in the slightest. It's like they decided in episode 3 of S2 that this was going to be how they were going to throw a twist in wrt Paul but didn't think about how it would play to those of us that actually WERE paying attention to him last season ( ... )

Also, your post keeps disappearing from my friends feed and then reappearing again at random. LJ must be having a moment...! Have you noticed any weirdness?

Totally agreed on Felix being the one-and-only. SO glad that they didn't go down that road.

Although there was a part of me that was really hoping it'd be Vic because that would have been HILARIOUS.

I think the audience needs just ONE character on this show who is not at all mysterious or duplicitous and that character needs to be Felix. We need Felix to be the genuine one who we can trust in. I think he's become very important in that role.

OMG, I'd have loved clone Victors. Or what about clone Donnies?

Totally agreed about Felix. I think it's important that Sarah and the girls have someone who doesn't seem to be a total d-bag in their lives!

I'm not sure that the world would be ready for Donnie clones!
