RACHEL. YES. I CRIED DURING THE SCENE WITH HER FATHER AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. She's such a messed up creature and I have no idea what is and what isn't with her, how much is truth, how much is a mask, how much is pretense, how much is longing, how muchis coldness, how much is broken isolation. Everything just, I can't.
HELENA: OMG bb why? YES, I loved the dancing but realising there was ten minutes left at that point was kind of terrifying.
Boy clones: I thought it was Paul too! It definitely seemed to be implying that. How come all the boy clones are there, they seem more aware of who they are, if they're all there together.
Oh, Allison was definitely talking about the day to day stuff, the burying the body thing was probably what she considered one of the good parts.
I was just glad Cosima wasn't dead, didn't really care about the hallucinations. I loved her hiding the plan in the picture and the finding the sequence in the book thing.
I don't think they ret-conned it? Like I could be wrong, but I think it's been implied in a few places that he's a double agent and therefore the 'weakness/info' they had about him in the army was probably trumped up by him to give an in, so it would be believable that he would do as they say. Also I think there's been a lot suggesting he's a double agent throughout the series.
Boy clones: I think they definitely knew about Mark, and that's probably why creepy dude wanted him with his daughter, cos he can't breed with him himself. I find the whole boy clone thing intriguing but also odd. Like why is it such a big deal/secret for her to tell Sarah? Like big woop, boy clones.
That whole thing with that woman and Sarah is off for me. Why didn't the 400 clones survive? Is this a different world where they don't have the science we have? Seriously, if we can successfully clone animals, we can successfully clone humans, that whole bit bothered me. What are they trying to do exactly that made it so they didn't survive?
EVERYTHING YOU SAID ABOUT RACHEL. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. I don't even have anything to add!
It definitely seemed to be implying that. It was for sure implying that! In fact, as soon as Sarah said 'I know him' I knew it WASN'T gonna be Paul because that was just one step too far in the mis-direct!
I don't think they ret-conned it? Okay, good. I'm still not convinced, but I'm glad that there are other explanations out there.
Like why is it such a big deal/secret for her to tell Sarah? Yeah, I don't really follow this either. I mean, I get that it's shocking. The military has bred an Army of clones. But yeah, why all the cloak and dagger with revealing it to Sarah? I guess time will tell!
Tbh, I've always questioned their science explanations. It's the one thing I try not to think about too hard because it all starts to quickly fall apart when I do.
Yeah, I hope time will tell and we do get a reason for all the cloak and dagger. Especially as there's been this whole build up of 'something sinister going on' for ages, and if the sinister thing is just boy clones, it's kind of like, well okay, we knew about the girl clones in the pilot, so it's really not that sinister. I just hope the sinister aspect isn't their execution of things alone, because that would seem unnecessary. I really hope it's all leading up to something good.
Yeah, I know I should take the science with a pinch of salt, it just bugs my inner scientist.
