I could not spoil you if I tried, which is a lie in this case standing in for the lesser known and much unnecessary "I could not spoil you without trying". Which goes without saying in most cases but here it literally means I would have to try really hard. Otherwise I'd be like, "theres a bus, and a pamphlet, and some stuff happens", which frankly are possibly the worst spoilers in the history of plot lines...going bad? I guess is the underlying meaning here. Except that really I guess it would be the viewer going bad because the plot doesn't change. Really the experience I suppose.

Holy god, I have been leaving you the wooooorst comments lately. I should start commenting only between 11am and 2pm when generally I'm at my most awake/not utterly bizarre. This is becoming A Situation.

Actually, my icon does remind me that there WAS alcohol involved because i'll drink on a Thursday when I damn well please. But I WISH that was relevant enough to explain this!

Hello, but! YOUR COMMENTS ARE THE BEST.

NEVER APOLOGISE FOR THEM AND NEVER CHANGE.

Last night's was the most epic. And I am working up the energy required to a) read it again and b) reply in a somewhat adequate fashion!

Also, seeing that the vast majority of my posts occur at midnight or thereabouts, I think it's only fair that your replies should be co-timed :)

How are things all the way up there in QLD? I really need to pee but that would involve standing up and walking, like, ten steps MINIMUM (it could even be further than that!) to the bathroom. CAN. NOT. BE. BOTHERED. TBQH.

Also, I found this gif yesterday and I LOVE IT SO MUCH that I'm just going to throw it in here apropos of nada... (although, pressure's on; what you being the Queen of Gifs and all...)

Hee, I'm not well-versed in the funniest-home-videos type genre! Or at least the human kind. So there's really no pressure from me! :D I could offer you something in the highly unoriginal kitten arena, though, perhaps something like this?

If QLD had a roof they could make a show there like The Dome! You could be its star!!

And kitten gifs are ALWAYS welcome here!!

I had the same problem with the show, where it was difficult because I'm used to watching shows such as Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, etc. Network shows are usually in a different category (the only recent show that I've found that could compete is Hannibal). I do admit I watched some of the VM episodes on 1.3 speed just to get through them quicker lol. However, I did enjoy it the more things were revealed and more was going out about the characters.

Logan does have the best lines, haha. Famous Echolls snark. And I loveeeee the Veronica and Lamb interactions. He's so silly.

I must admit to often completely forgetting about the network vs cable thing because I watch pretty much ALLLL my teevee via the internet so channel is irrelevant and very rarely obvious.

However, I did enjoy it the more things were revealed and more was going out about the characters. THIS IS VERY GOOD TO KNOW! Especially considering we have probably come at the show from a similar stand-point; so, YAY!!

And I loveeeee the Veronica and Lamb interactions. He's so silly. Oh, lorrrd! Me too! He totally grew on me over the course of the season! I HAAAATED him in the sexual assualt flashback in episode one. Like, HATED HATED HATED. But as the episodes progressed I came to see him as something of a parody and it was much easier to let his douchbaggery slide and become the POINT as opposed to the RESULT.

I used to post Grey's Anatomy reaction posts for a while that were pretty 'popular' (this based entirely on the fact that they'd get over 100 comments and nothing anymore scientific than that!!) until one of my flisties trolled one of them saying how my opinions were all wrong (and also how the opinions of many of the commenters were all wrong) and could I please STOP saying such negative things about the show so that she didn't have to see it on her friend's feed!! I was like, O_O whut? I replied saying it was alllll under a cut and if she didn't want to read then she simply had to scroll on by but she replied saying that she didn't want to have to scroll on by and that she did want to read my reactions, but she would just like it more if I could please have different reactions!! She then started PMing me to ask me to stop all the other commenters that she'd told to STFU if they could please stop replying to her telling her to STFU! Haha! It was such a bizarre experience and has made me kiiiinda wary ( ... )

I'm picky about teen shows too. It took me forever (like, until 2008) even to watch Buffy because ugh, high school, I spent those four years zoning out ON PURPOSE, why revisit it?! Since then I've developed something of a taste for genre stuff, but it took a while. But Veronica Mars worked for me (I guess it's noir enough to feel genre?) so I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I'm afraid to say too much because I don't remember exactly what had happened by that point in the season but LILLY KANE! <3

LILLY KANE! <3 Yessssss!! It's amazing how 'alive' she is for me as a character given everything. I think the way she's been developed has been EXCELLENT!

The thing I'm noticing about my experience with teen shows isn't so much that I ~relate to them and therefore whyyyy, but more that I don't relate to them and find them to be RIDICULOUSLY unrealistic. This is usually brought about by actors playing characters up to 10 years their junior (which is common, and necessary in some cases, I know, but really makes things hard for me) and general depictions of 'normal, everyday life' being so far removed from a) my own reality and b) my impression of reality in the USA also. I mean, I doubt high school is ALL that different between the two countries but these shows would have me believe the USA is a parallel universe or something where teachers are caricatures and students are free to do whatever they want whenever they want with no consequences whatsoever.

But mostly though, LILLY KANE!!! And I really AM enjoying it!

Don't apologize for your feelings!!! This probably was never destined to be your favorite show, just based on your preferences, but the fact that you're enjoying it is good enough for me! And I think your opinions are great, especially considering where you are in the series! I started watching the show the summer after season one aired, so I remember all the pressure to like certain things and blah blah blah. In the end, I actually DID follow the majority, it just took a while to understand why the majority felt like they did. And there's a good chance that you're going to have different opinions from a lot of people because there's a big faction of the fandom that has different opinions. (Sorry to be so vague but there is nothing worse than getting spoiled!!!)

As for Duncan and Lilly, I'm 95% sure that Lilly is a year older than Duncan, Veronica, and Logan.

And without spoiling anything, I definitely think you're going to get all the things you're looking forward to! The season only gets better from here. :)

I really, really am enjoying it! And I'm about to embark on the last half of season one, which is where, I've been lead to believe, shit is about to get real!! Haha! WOOT!

As for Duncan and Lilly, I'm 95% sure that Lilly is a year older than Duncan, Veronica, and Logan. Ah ha. Thank you. I've been most curious about this.

I actually DID follow the majority, it just took a while to understand why the majority felt like they did. Oooh, that's interesting to know. It will be fun to see where my thoughts end up and what path I take to get there. I will be sure to keep you all posted on my progress :)

I definitely think you're going to get all the things you're looking forward to! YAY!!! And, on that note, 1.13 here I come!
