The market has a fair few watering holes, too. And at least one of them is about to gain two people.
"Wonder what Simon and Sam're up to?" Kaylee looks over her shoulder at Dean as she passes through the beaded curtain, and holds part of it back for him to pass through.
The speakeasy in front of them is, of course, poorly lit. There's something with a slow, hollow backbeat playing over a speaker system that isn't immediately visible. Over that is the hum of a dusty, smoky bar -- and not everything that's being smoked is tobacco, from the smell of it.
Being a tour guide is always awkward when you're not that familiar with the area yourself.
The marketplace, at least, is both close to the ship (meaning they're unlikely to get lost) and likely to have interesting things to look at (meaning his guest won't get bored).
Simon throws a glance up at the younger Winchester brother, to gauge his initial reaction.
Since Jayne's got stuck playing tour guide - and ain't that way down on the list of things he'd like to be doing with his day - he's at least gonna be tour guiding places he gives a crap about.
Therefore: "You get yourself lost lookin' at hairthings or shawls or any a that girly crap, you're findin' your own gorram way home, you got it?"

Then she nods, just once.
"Okay."

"I do not like shawls."
Beat.
"They get in the way."

He is not really in favor of women's clothing in general. Obstructs the view!
"Well."
Beat.
. . . he knows what's out; he ain't really sure what's in. Whores, which would be his first choice, are probably a no-go.
"You got, uh, things you're needin' to get?"

"There are places to buy weapons?"
She can afford to replenish her stock now.
