Yesterday I called the GRE organization to find out if there was going to be a CS GRE subject test. Apparently because some punkass people in China, Hong Kong and India were cheating, they may no longer have this test (ever). (which is a bad thing). Well I finally finished reading Stephan Dorril's book MI6, about the British Intelligence Service. As I said in my pervious post, it is somewhat interesting for the first X00 pages or so until you realize it's the same basic story over and over of blunders of the service driven by politics of the hawks and cold war paranoia. I realize it is funny that I am posting this, given the last post, but I finished reading "Forgotten English" which was primarily divided up into 15 chapters of various categories of English words that had interesting etymologies and such. Well it looks like that unfortunately I must go on break from 12kPoBRC. After a good strong first week or two, I haven't been able to devote much time to it, due to work, class, etc. Primarily I have other (more important) initiatives that are coming to the front, particularly that I may start preparing for the GRE's (General and Subject test). I have once more remembered why the 12kPoBRC is such a bloody awful idea... I am forcing myself to read, i.e. stare at pages for hours not totally reading, books that I deemed not interesting enough to really warrant hours and hours of my time that are required to read them.
