I am still alive and contemplating coming back to LJ. I still don't have a lot of free time to devote to this so I am starting slow with a once a week and we will see how it goes. -

As the locusts trill, the cats sleep undisturbed in front of the air conditioner. Perhaps they are just too old to see the fascination in hunting bugs outdoors in the summer. Outside my world children scream with unreasonable happiness and cry with abandon. The rolls have swelled to ten. Where were these children when I tried to raise a solitary child in this neighborhood? Once again I have been proven to be out of sync and in the right place at the wrong time. I am resolved to write about the day's events or something that has crossed my path each day. Today I have to say that I was blissfully unaware. No ducks, squirrels, or bunnies crossed my path--just Schroedinger's cat. I wonder if that applies to me. I work at a dead-end job--well below my capacity. Ramblings
I saw the little chipmunk today but not the rabbit. It amazes me that these creatures survive here in the inner city. My feline hunters must give then a run for their money. I never seemed to see wild life in Rathfarnham. I guess they had enough sense to stay in the hills. There is still plenty of rural habitat for animals in Ireland ( Read more... )
