Ramblings
I saw the little chipmunk today but not the rabbit. It amazes me that these creatures survive here in the inner city. My feline hunters must give then a run for their money. I never seemed to see wild life in Rathfarnham. I guess they had enough sense to stay in the hills. There is still plenty of rural habitat for animals in Ireland.
I remember when a student teacher sent sixth graders out in the inner city with a list of songbirds to look for. Katie saw two or three. I thought the student teacher was just a little naive about the inner city. I wanted to tell her that my cats and neighbors had eaten the rest of the birds on the list. Maybe I should have driven her out into the suburbs to look for birds or taken her to the zoo. The assignment said in your backyard so I guess I made her stick to the rules.
Rules. Why can't our politicians on both sides set up some rules and stick to them? I dread the upcoming election because of the inevitable muckraking that will go on. Stay tuned...did Hillary have a baby out of wedlock? Who's gay and who isn't. More a six o'clock. YUK.
And manners. What happened to those? Katie warns me that manners are different in live journal. Something about matching length of comments, etc. I guess I will learn. At least I am delighted to hear that there are some manners even if they seem a bit foreign to me. So if I have been terse or insulted anyone yet--I'm sorry.
