Holy Helios, the heat as of late has just been ridiculous! I guess I'm lucky I don't live any farther south. I don't know how bethje does it. She hardly sleeps at all on weekdays, then makes up for it by sleeping pretty much all day on weekends. If I don't get enough sleep on any one day, that results in my basically walking around in a daze. There were a few things that happened this week that are probably worth writing about. ( It's not very long, but I'm cutting it because I'm including pictures. )

bethje had today and yesterday off from work, and I haven't been able to find a job, so we had a four-day weekend together. I don't know that we totally took advantage of it, but we did a few fun things. On Saturday, we went out to eat at Ruby Tuesday, which wasn't that great. They Might Be Giants had a concert tonight at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park. I hadn't wanted to go, but bethje talked me into it, and I'm glad I did.
