I just booked my flight to London for my dissertation turning-in visit next month. I even got an upgrade to premium economy class with my frequent flyer miles, so for once I'm actually excited about an international flight. And I'm doubly excited that I'm going back to London! Yay! I can't believe that standardized tests were a regular part of my education for the first 18 years of my life. They're so arbitrary, and bizarre, and horrible. I used to be so nonchalant about them. Our application for Crookshanks was approved!! Unfortunately we can't take him home today because he hasn't been neutered yet and this shelter has a policy that no un-fixed animal can be adopted. However, they'll be able to do it this afternoon and we can pick him up tomorrow. We'll go by today and pay the adoption fee and visit him. I hate to ( Read more... )
