I can't believe that standardized tests were a regular part of my education for the first 18 years of my life. They're so arbitrary, and bizarre, and horrible. I used to be so nonchalant about them. i feel ya girl. the GRE is a crock, in my humble opinion. it doesn't measure anything except how to take the test. and graduate school isn't about taking tests, its' about how you can apply original ideas to whatever it is you're studying. i don't understand why so many schools rely on it. i think it has something to do with money. everyone i've ever known who has taken it has had to take it twice because they sucked at it. i sucked at it. the GRE can kiss my ass.

Yeah I found it particularly ridiculous as I'm close to one MA already. It had absolutely nothing to do with what I've done as a grad student so far. I have no idea why American schools still use it. Maybe to judge your ability to do something completely random. Oh well. At least it's over.
