(voice; english)Residents - both former and current - of Latimir Apartments, I would appreciate it if you could provide a concise yet informative report of what, precisely, happened to the building and its residents yesterday afternoon - how the building was hit, precisely what rooms were involved, and how the people inside were affected. Despite ( Read more... )

H-hey, I've managed to hold myself together perfectly fine! Everyone's accounted for, so far. [...] Though an issue has been raised that I'm concerned about.

[he sounds worried - and yes, it might just be about her.]

Another issue, in addition to everything else that's happened?

Sounds like you were lucky and missed it all, Pardner.

In comparison to the fates of some, yes, I suppose that would be an appropriate word to use. Was your apartment damaged in any way?

Not at all. Seems whatever happened only hit your side of the building.

It was Godzilla.

[Yeah he's got an accurate record already written up. He just wants to see how many people he can tell that to.]

Do I sound like I'm joking, radian? Considering all the other seemingly impossible functions within this city, it could very well be plausible.

Somehow I think people would've noticed a giant monster rampaging through their city, don't you? Their foolery often reaches rather excessive levels, true, but to imply that they would've missed something so obvious is reaching, even for them.

(...)

... what did you call me?

Ffff, going by the map the mods provided. xD twin_sai_kame February 10 2010, 04:08:16 UTC
Meh.

Evidently one of the neighboring buildings collapsed, and collapsed into Latimir. There's been atleast two deaths, and lots of injuries.

Floor one apartments 105, 106, 107, 112, 113, 114, 115 were completely destroyed, or severely damaged

Floor two apartments 212 only slight damage to one corner, 205, 206, 207, 213, 214, 215 were completely destroyed, or severely damaged

Floor 3 apartments 305 half of it was taken out, 306, 307, 313, 314, 315 were completely destroyed, or severely damaged.

Floors four and 5 escaped damage, somehow.

All apartments not listed were only slightly damaged, or escaped it completely on floors one through three.

Thank you for responding both promptly and thoroughly; this information will help greatly.

(She considers the layout of the apartments for a moment.)

Surely, though, the upper two floors are at risk as well? If the lower three have collapsed, it is only a matter of time before the upper two do as well.

Yup! :D twin_sai_kame February 10 2010, 04:58:54 UTC
Some how we still got electricity too, which has made digging people out, interesting.

Yes, they have each been roped off, and nobody can go beyond 411, or 511, just to be safe.

The structural integrity of the entire building worries me, not just the affected floors and directly surrounding areas ... but I suppose anyone foolish enough to remain living in a half-collapsed building with ample opportunity to move elsewhere will have to suffer the consequences of their own idiocy.
