(voice; english)Residents - both former and current - of Latimir Apartments, I would appreciate it if you could provide a concise yet informative report of what, precisely, happened to the building and its residents yesterday afternoon - how the building was hit, precisely what rooms were involved, and how the people inside were affected. Despite ( Read more... )

H-hey, I've managed to hold myself together perfectly fine! Everyone's accounted for, so far. [...] Though an issue has been raised that I'm concerned about.

[he sounds worried - and yes, it might just be about her.]

Another issue, in addition to everything else that's happened?

(she will whip him mercilessly if she suspects that's the case, dead boyfriend/brother or not)

Well, this is no time to be coy, Phoenix Wright - out with it!

Surely you've noticed? Neither of them are back yet.

... how would I have noticed if I've been trapped in the library all this time?

They would have said something on their return.

In my attempts to dig myself out of the snow, I have not been paying as rapt attention to my communicator as I usually do; it's possible that I might've missed something, and I was merely acknowledging that possibility.

Alright, that is a good point. Still, it's.. definitely not normal. That's why I'm wondering what exactly they're playing at.

(Now she's worried. :|)

I'm assuming it's related to the depleted supplies - I've gathered that they were stocked regularly prior to this.

Perhaps the scientists are merely temporarily preoccupied.

Preoccupied by what, though? They're not keeping us well-supplied, and they're not-- What are they up to? [The worry is evident in his voice.]

(they can be worried together ... which, with them, involves lots of shouting and glaring and whipping.)

How would I know, Phoenix Wright? As if I'm well-versed in their timetables and pastimes!

Perhaps there's something else that's presently occupying their full attention, and they'll return to their usual duties after that.

Nothing like this has ever happened before. And well, I was kind of hoping that you'd have some kind of idea.

[There's an unspoken "they'd better" in there somewhere.]

Me? If anyone should have an idea of the scientists' motives, Phoenix Wright, it should be you. Instead, you've spent almost two years here and you're still just as clueless as the day you arrived.

They don't exactly give you warning. Do you really expect, "Oh by the way, we're going to return your loved ones to you later than usual"?

(She holds back the retort that's on the tip of her tongue, not only because she knows it's out of line, but also because she doesn't want to give voice to her fears.)

If you claim the scientists often pull stunts such as this with little warning, leaving the inhabitants of this city clueless to their motives and subject to their whims, why on earth did you expect me to have any more idea than you about the reasons behind their negligence? Of all the times to choose to live up to your title of The Grandest Fool of All, this is decidedly not the best.

I'm not a fool. There's always a chance that you've heard information that I haven't. People in Discedo don't always have the same information, and I-- it's called 'the benefit of the doubt'.
