the two hour delay

Sometimes they don't want to close school but the streets are bad and instead they opt for a two hour delay in opening. This is generally the worst of all possible options for the working parent. How do you put in an 8 hour day with 2 hours of commuting when you have to hang around waiting to put a youngling on the bus...and then pick him up at the ( Read more... )

I will try to find the movie. Although I may be done with the story for a while! Something fluffy next I'm thinking. Maybe one of the Laundry stories by Charles Stross. Between W&P and Rebecca and Dracula I'm done with grim.

Thanks for making the effort to read my latest. I get hung up on weird combos and sideline characters, as you know. There are a couple of characters, minor ones in the series, fleshed out later in Sisters. I love to do that. I guess the MG icons aren't your cup of tea; you can always read it at AO3. No icons there :)

Haven't finished as of yet, but the end is coming. I spent my spare time last night watching two more episodes of Season 1 Fringe.

The French are about gone and Petya bought it. I bookmarked a few quotes about asymmetrical warfare and the nature of war to re-read later. Anthony Hopkins would make a good Pierre. Audrey Hepburn would have made a fine Natasha. Henry Fonda was Andray, right? I think I would have preferred Jimmy Stewart. He has (at times) a manic intensity that I don't see in Fonda. Andray was a fanatic.

I've disliked MG since Little House on the Prairie though I'm not sure why. It was my best friend's favorite show and I didn't like it. Jealousy I suppose. In any case, my Anna is my own now and I don't really think of her as JMS's version or as related to the actress. It's a weird alchemy, writing someone else's character and taking them beyond what was laid out in canon. Very Velveteen Rabbit with a little Pinocchio thrown in. She's a real girl now.
