Envy: Review

It's fair to say that small venues like the Warehouse rarely receive bands of this magnitude.  Last night that band was Envy.  People were brought to tears, I kid you not.  These guys are the real deal.  And as I've predicted in my recent post, they did overcome the language barrier.  Honestly, I can say it was really great to see a Japanese band ( Read more... )

Sucks, it does! So I guess this means they won't be charging the US music scene bull-wise?

no.. I think they'll end up being one of those bands supported by a very small but dedicated group of fans. But that's still cool as long as they continue making music.

It sucks too, because no one awesome ever wants to come play here. My friends and I have jokingly given Kansas the slogan, "Kansas--we're halfway to where you want to be!"

I think he was referring to the hardcore scene. Not much of a crowd where they played you know? If you're a hardcore band and you come to DC, you get lots of love.

Besides, the guy was blatantly Japanese. He knows nothing about the amazing things that could be discovered over there, including YOU of course :D.
