It was a long, long crazy night. Other injured concertgoers kept showing up in the ER over the hours I was lying there in a hard collar waiting for some doctor to actually start doing something with me. For a while, there was a girl on the other side of the curtain who'd gotten her knee kicked in by some asshole in the audience. Goths with alternative hair colors rested on gurneys or wandered the halls.
When I actually was put in a chair to finally stitch up the small hole in my face along the left side of my jaw, my doctor shot me with a painkiller, left me, then tried to go home. Fortunately, my brother eventually found what hospital I'd been taken to and was there at that point to find and physically drag the man back in so I could get my stitches and leave. We were separated early on, and my brother had a great time at the concert and only realized something was really wrong when it ended and he couldn't find me anywhere
