For once I liked a trendy ice cream I bought on sale at the supermarket. While I wasn't at all impressed with the other Coolhaus flavor I tried, Dirty Mint Chip, I really enjoyed Campfire S'Mores, which the carton lists as "salted Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream, graham marshmallow cookie butter, and dark chocolate squares," which sounds a bit ( Read more... )

Ooh, that ice cream sounds delicious! I don't think I've ever seen it in stores here, but there is a shop about an hour away. Maybe I'll see about trying it out sometime.

Ugh, the heat is the worst. We've been around or over 100°F for awhile with no end in sight, which is way too hot for me even with fans and AC. I'm looking forward to more bearable temperatures, but I think that'll be a long time out...

Fairway Markets gets some of the quirkier, pricier brands in and I try them when they go on sale. I was not enthused by the flavor each I tried from Halo Top and Big Gay Ice Cream Truck.

We're supposed to be in the high 70s this weekend, which would be a relief after the five days of 90s, most of them with "tropical" humidity.
