So I've been talking about how my computer had been shutting itself down once a night and the remote AVG tech thought it was an issue of the machine running too hot. I'm glad your problem got fixed! Firefox is killing my computer too, it is lazy loading and also freezing the machine w/ this script is running slow, would you like to discontinue it pop-ups.

Mine too! Some folks at DW suggested cleaning my cache and looking for an older version of Firefox to install instead, but week of shutdowns have made me so gunshy.

You can stop it doing this: https://superuser.com/questions/1048029/disable-auto-refresh-tabs-in-chrome-desktop although apparently it's tryng to save your RAM so since your laptop is a little elderly you may notice a difference and want to turn it back on.
