It's interesting how often the series reminds you that Angel is a total hypocrite.... I liked this episode a lot, though the urge to smack Angel around that I've had all season only intensified. ::grins::
Actually, my take on it is more that he's a pretty boy, but he's not too bright or self-aware. Darla didn't chose him for his brains, after all. But I'm still uncertain if he is conscious of his hypocrisy, though. If he's unaware of it, is he really a hypocrite? Doesn't hypocrisy really need to be conscious to truly be hypocrisy? Which would make Angel more big, stupid and inconsistent rather than a hypocrite. Dunno, could be wrong. Just a thought.
Gunn and Fred look for Wes, who's lying with his throat slashed in a park near his home. Somehow G&F never think to look around Wes' home. Angel goes all dark and threatens to torture the head of Wolfram & Hart to get information on Sahjahn, who he found out is the only person who can rip a hole open to the dimension Conner was taken to. Angel gets a spell that makes Sahjahn corporeal, thinking to forcefully convince the demon to cooperate, but since he got the spell from the bad guys, Sahjahn gets corporeal somewhere outside the circle and several innocent people are injured. Angel doesn't care that much because it's not like any of them are his son

I know he's pissed and hurt beyond belief over losing Conner. Yadda, yadda he really needs to get his head out of him ass. Wes was trying to protect the kid. Sajahn had done an elaborate set up to the make up the false prophecy. He'd bounced around time making it up, it was the best forgery you'd come across. Wes needs to be cut some slack. He did investigate the hell out of it. I wanted to bitch slap Angel.
By the way, that was the slowest bleeding neck wound I've ever seen. Wes only lived a minute away from a hospital anyway. They mentioned that in the last ep, whenever the hell it was that it showed. I kept telling the person watching with me, "Wes has been bleeding for weeks now, he is so dead." They should have just hurried getting him to the hospital the fuck up.
I just kept rolling my eyes at how annoying Angel was being.

Angel is a sociopath who really doesn't care about other people. He has his humans, and that's it. The rest of them just think he considers them his friends. He only cares about their opinions so far as it directly impacts his own unlife.
That really was the world's slowest bleeding wound. Justine hit a major artery, yet he was lying out there for what looked like nearly 24 hours.
