Wow, I'm pretty impressed they fixed the hole so quickly. Cities always seem to be slow on repaving though. There's a street in my town that they scraped to repave... two months or so ago? Still hasn't been repaved.
I am definitely gonna check out that livetweeting, bc everything I've seen about Life and Death looks hilarious and awful so far lol
The photo I attached to the online complaint might have helped. This is how large it was the day after I almost backed my car over it, and it was getting progressively worse in days to come so it was larger when they finally had someone look at it.
A lot of roads in my area are getting repaved in the last year, including a long stretch of Woodhaven Boulevard that wasn't as bad as the stretch near me that's truly awful. They actually stopped repaving it as it reached some of its worst damage! Some of the local roads stayed scraped but unpaved for two weeks, which my car and I obviously did not appreciate, but two months is truly ridiculous.
It's hilarious and awful, though since it's Cleolinda she's also asking how many of the changes are from the author rethinking things over the last ten years and how much is Meyer's idea of gender roles. (Life and Death isn't just a search-and-replace job on the names/genders.)
