SAD isn't fun, that's for sure. Winter's just gotten here and it's already affecting me, too. {{{hugs}}} I hope things get better for you.

Thank god for the internet!

I'm trying but it can be so hard sometimes and I get even tired than usual this time of the year....

Indeed!

*hugs!* I hope it gets better for you. I hear you on the writing issues, it really sucks when the block comes at a time you'd most need to lose yourself into the creative flow.

Thanks. Writing is the one of the things I can do... at least some of the time.

Part of the current problem is negotiating Aya through the possible sex scenes, which has happened before. *sigh*

Ohh, Aya and sex scenes... always an intriguing (and potentially problematic) subject. He can get very difficult when he chooses to. I find he cooperates much better when he gets to slice and dice.

Very difficult. He's much more cooperative about killing people.

*hugs* I'm sorry things have been difficult lately. I hear you on SAD being hell (my sister had to move across the country to alleviate it, and even in Texas I start going down a dark path during the times when the combo of dark mornings/dark evenings combines with weeks of grey weather).

Is there anything I can do to help? You mentioned the internet helps; I'd be happy to run a mini low-stakes thing for December... drabbles and doodles or whatnot. For me, this time of year is pretty rough, and I was mulling over maybe doing something on my own... Just a thought. ;)

The SAD is contributing, but the broad majority of my problem is my current life circumstances and how I feel helpless against my financial problems and health problems.

Thanks for the offer of help. I don't know. There are a lot of challenges already running this time of year that people are involved in. I'm hoping weiss_kreuzmas can give me a smile or two.

I credit the internet with keeping from going completely nuts myself.

the internet helps anchor what wee bit of sanity I have left too, and Indiana is hell for grey cold dreary BLARGH ( ... )

Thanks, but the SAD is a small contributor the overall problem, part of which is that I need to use money on necessities from how little of it I have. Plus, Chiari gives me light sensitivities and I already have problems with fluorescents and many of the so-called energy efficient bulbs due to flicker effects, so a light bulb can feel like a gamble.

I also haven't bought the thyroid supplements partly from price but also to make sure whatever tests I take are reacting to whatever's naturally going on with my body. I'm currently on 200 mcg of Synthroid daily, and if the blood test he wants me to do in December says that I'm still way too low, I'm going to ask him what my other options are since what he has me doing already obviously isn't working.

I did wonder about the flourescents...

I just toss the ideas out there for people to consider, doesn't bother me if people don't want to try them. I get all kinds of suggestions too and some of them I just shake my head and move on because I can't afford it or it seems unlikely.

wow, that's a lot of synthroid. Hopefully it is doing the job.

Blood tests in October showed my doctor that 150 mcg did jack, something I could've told him. I thought we might discuss other options then, but his response was to jack the dose up by another 50 mcg.
