Lack of Support

Tonight I called Apple Support about another iPod Nano problem but thankfully figured out a solution on my own. I couldn't stand another eight minutes of their loud, scratchy, crappy hold music selection.

After the recent Restore to factory conditions to fix my last Nano problem, my playlists were no longer loading to the Nano. Before, they did it ( Read more... )

My little sister really wanted an iPod last year. My mom bought one and a non iPod music player. And she asked my advice. I told her I didn't trust APple. But if she was really excited at the thought of having a Nano, I wouldn't advise our Mom to take the iPod back.

And she really was so happy to have the iPod. Branding is over-rated, but it's difficult to explain that to a cheerful 13 year old, y'know? Now she tells me, just under the 1 year warrenty mark, she was getting consistent white screen of death.

I didn't even know what that was, I had to go look it up. That's how much I don't pay attention to iPod in general. And I've just realized that I did not realize your iPod was also a Nano or I would have had a different answer for her last year.

Checking your iPod tag shows me problems since 2006 though, is the Nano the one from back then?

My original was a Mini, a gift from a group of friends. The Nano is a family gift from my birthday in June of this year. Since I already had all the Apple setup and iTunes with all my stuff in it I figured I might as well get another iPod for an upgraded gift. The Nano has over twice as much memory storage (and still can't hold my entire music collection).

I've actually had more problems with the Nano and recent iTunes versions than I did the Mini, and it seems to stem from the updates Apple keeps making faster and faster.
