Villain OTP?

I'll admit, I'm in love with Crowley/Aziraphale (Good Omens) and Alucard/Integra (Hellsing). But those pairings are more anti-hero + anti-hero than strict villain + hero. Those are evenly matched; they're snarky but care-- though they'd kill you before admitting it ( Read more... )

Snape/Harry in slashfic perhaps but not in JK's books.

Why can't the villain seduce the hero to the bad side? Or maybe find a saucy co-villain and have little villain babies?

I was gonna say that until I finished reading your post. LOL I totally agree. Maybe this could be a future challenge for the comm: to write a fanfic where the villain seduces the hero. :D

to write a fanfic where the villain seduces the hero

Ooooh, that's tempting. Since I might actually get that all-illusive "free time" soon, I'm going to have to ponder doing something like that for practice.

This idea is very tempting, and not just because I inspired it :P

I totally love Crowley/Aziraphale.
It's also the perfect example how excellent two characters can turn out if you don't follow the ancient recipe of Good guy vs Evil guy.
Heroes have a sad tendency to be one dimensional and, quite frankly, boring. Why not add a little spice and make them, oh I don't know, interesting?
A fallen hero is much more intriguing than the knight in shining armour who can do no wrong.

I could not agree more. One of the other things that bugs me is how, whenever a hero tries to show maturity or deepness, they just end up being really angsty. Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker come to mind. Another reason they wouldn't be good in relationships.

Yeah. I took a moment to see if I could think of a hero that wasn't angsty and none immediately came to mind. I'm sure they exist.............. Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?

All I know is that with villains, you never have to deal with whining. Only the occasional dramatic monologue.

there's some among the Peter/Sylar in the Heroes Slash communities (Sylar's still a killer/Peter turns dark/Sylar's changing but he's putting up a fight)

Ooh, that sounds intriguing. You should do a post with some links to good fics with them.

lol, oh gods the pressure's on now, I always feel weird doing recommendations

http://community.livejournal.com/sylar_peter/5628.html is the master list which has just about all the fic on.

In no particular order:

Deception (and it's two sequels) by Yo Mawari, is Peter being led astray. Anything by Vibishan is well written, but I'll warn you she is queen of blood/death/violence kink and RUNS SCREAMING with the fact that Peter is indestructable AND reckless. Fear Not For the Future, by AmethystShard, is an AU where Sylar never existed because Peter got to Gabriel first, but it's interesting because she's kept the Sylar aspects of the character in there. Only When You Push and Painted by Corona keep Sylar dark. There's loads more good ones, and probably a few I haven't read yet that are good (there's been a petlar explosion over the past few months)

Oh Ye Gods, I've just realised I haven't mentioned Lana... *is going to get a smack*

My pet author's stuff is proving to be pretty popular, I post it on my journal - because she can't work a 'puter - if you want to check it out, or it's on the master-list. It shows a vulnerable side to Sylar, but Peter still gets his head caved in whenever he pushes his luck...

and a lot of people (including me) like this short crack!fic she wrote: http://capn-mactastic.livejournal.com/15635.html
Dark sense of humour is recommended ;)
