Year end book poll for 2013
Here is a poll/listing of all the books I read last year, as has been the custom in the librarything community. I read 160 books: 106 were in English, 52 in Finnish, and 2 in Swedish. This is a marked increase in books read in my native language compared to the past several years, but I'm also proud that I managed to read two books in Swedish as well.

Reading
I might as well try this bookblogging thing again this year, even though it hasn't really worked out that well for the past couple of years. I always start the year with the resolution to write something about my reading, but along the way that just fizzless somewhere... The year end book poll
Since it's highly doubtful I'll finish any more books this year, it's time for the traditional year end book poll. My final tally for this year was 147 read books (including comics and some novellas).
There has been a clear increase in the e-books I read ever since I got an iPad. This has also lead me to discover some new authors.

Holidays
I spent the Christmas holidays at my mother's. I left there the Friday before and didn't come back until the Friday after, so ended up spending a week, which is the longest I've spent there in a while.
The weather was really cold (around -15 degree Celsius) and clear for a while, but it warmed towards the end of my stay, and started snowing.

I've been on a 2 weeks holiday and go back to work next Monday. I had meant to visit the Tähtivaeltaja Day today, but after I got home from my mother's yesterday, today I felt like NOOO, NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!! I guess I shouldn't have been away for almost all of my holiday ( Read more... )
