I might as well try this bookblogging thing again this year, even though it hasn't really worked out that well for the past couple of years. I always start the year with the resolution to write something about my reading, but along the way that just fizzless somewhere... I guess it's due to not just being in the habit of writing regular entries

I recommend Emmi Itäranta's Teemestarin kirja and Jenny Kangasvuo's Sudenveri for the Finnish authors. As they are both first for these authors you haven't read them before - at least their books.

I read Teemestarin kirja late last year and very much enjoyed it. Sudenveri is on my TBR list, since I've seen so many positive mentions of it.

I'm also planning on reading some of the older books that used to belong to my mother's father and are currently gathering dust on my bookshelves :). I've already started on Maila Talvio's Linnoituksen iloiset rouvat which feels surprisingly readable.
