VidUKon 2014?

Hello everyone!

The VidUKon con committee have been discussing the idea of running a VidUKon in 2014 in Cardiff - the first one to be an annual event, rather than a biennial one. The short version is this... we're willing to run a VidUKon next year if you're willing to attendObviously, there's a minimum attendence we'd need to be able to break

With my current work schedule, I work every other weekend, which means, if I've calculated things correctly, that I'd be more likely to attend April 4th-6th and every other weekend following that, than the other weekends. But this may potentially change before it's actually time for Vidukon. Likely I'll be able to take time off if the con falls on a work weekend, anyway, but it would of course be better if I didn't have to. Complicated schedule is complicated. And annoying. *smile*

But, but! VIDUKON! \o/ Assuming I have no major life changes, I'm a 99% certain attendee.

They've got you working two bank holiday weekends in April/May? That's a bit nasty. But it would be great to have you at the con again! And counting up weekends, if your schedule remains the same, your fallow weekends include at least 3 of the most popular dates at the moment, so hopefully it's looking good.

Thanks very much! I love the idea of it becoming an annual con. The UK vidding community deserves it!

We just need to make sure the UK vidding community knows about it and turns up :) And I was really impressed with how much amnisias did to bring in European support, too. I think we're going to be more reliant than ever on word of mouth, so if trying to run the con annually helps keep it in people's minds (and calendars) that has to be a good thing, right? :)
