Im beginning to calm down now but i just had a nervous breakdown. I still am. My brother keeps trolling around the house... just continuously walking around, and not keeping in once place (maybe he has his own probs) and is angering me and annoying me typicallly because my patience is so low right now. I try to whisper to myself to relieve myself ( Read more... )

Hi, I still don't feel like I know you very well, but I am moved to say one thing:

You do not have almost nothing. Honestly, you don't. Having never had a boyfriend is not the end of the world - I haven't either, and I'm 27 next month. It sounds like the people around you aren't the best people to be around but it won't last. Really, it won't. You don't have the saddest, most pathetic life either. The people who have sad pathetic lives are those without the ability or courage to be themselves or live their lives as they would wish, and you don't seem to be that kind of person to me.

Negativity? I am reminded always at times like that about the words of Michael Collins: "Our only weapon is our refusal." You can accept the negative waves of other people (and yourself) or you can shut yourself off from it. The latter path takes more effort but is more effective.

You should enjoy life, but don't feel bad for feeling bad either.

In the meantime, know that you're not alone. You're not.

I hope we can get to know each other better. Thanks for saying what you said though...

It helped... and it makes a lot of sense. Everything that you said. My life is not pathetic becuase I try to love according to my philosophy. My dad ruins that though and I listen to him only because I have to or else Im out the door. Keep in mind that I have the potential of moaning more when Im distressed too.

I love your pic too btw, Im guessing thats Jim... its just that Ive never seen the pic. Maybe I have... I go on Jim pic hunts now and again so I see loads.

Anyway, he is adorable and youre words were very kind and helpful, so Im good : ) Thanks again.

You don't see the old git smile often. Full version here: http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y78/apollarockchick/?action=view¤t=Jim12.jpg I can't remember which show it's from or where I found the pic, unfortunately.

I hope that it does help because really, I've been down that hole and sometimes find meself there still... And although you might moan more when you're distressed, that doesn't make it JUST moaning and doesn't invalidate how you feel.

I am so sorry that you have to go through this and that the people around you are not supportive. In the meantime, good luck with your appointments. Hopefully you will be able to work out a way to manage your anxiety. Everyone deals with stress in their own way.

Very true. I think several different ways work for me. Talking and keeping occupied are two ways I think

Thank you : )

I'm sorry to hear this dear. :( Life sucks a lot of the time. It would be just easier to shoot yourself in the head I'm afraid. *sigh* But I try to keep a positive attitude...& that seems to help me get by! :):)

*lots of hugs to you*
