so what are chitlings? The name sounds like that of a small furry animal!
I like the idea of soup and cornbread :-) but maybe that's because it's chilly here too and feels like soup weather.

Pig intestines (see why they won't come from *my* kitchen?)

I ended up making sweet potatoes with cinnamon, nutmeg and miniature marshmallows on top, and cornbread muffins.
