Mark asked me to put up this recipe after I described it over the phone to him last night. It's dead simple, but can be considered towards the fancy food end of the spectrum, thus making it awesome ( Read more... )

The recipe was easy to make, will definitely cook again.

I would blend the beans a little more, they were well blended but a little gritty. Also I would consider adding a little tofu into the blender with the beans.

Things we did:
Added some dried parsley and dried marjoram at the same time as the garlic.
Added some cherry tomatoes, halved and thrown into the sauce after the heat was turned off, so they softened but were still raw.
Left the bean + mushroom + tomato mixture to sit off the heat for five minutes. This thickened it a bit more.
Left out the onion, but this is only because we didn't have any in the house.
