Berries high in flavonoids are good for strengthening the walls of veins: cherries, blueberries, blackberries.

Bruising can mean several things. Worst case scenario, of course, is leukemia; but others include low platelets, which can be due to various factors. My sister has Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP), which basically means she has low platelet count, a tendency to bruise and bleed, and they don't know why. It can be down to a nutritional deficiency or to an underlying condition. Your best bet is probably to go to the doc and eliminate any scary possibilities quickly, and if there's a nutritional deficiency, to pick it up fast and work on it.

i asked my doctor a few weeks ago. she said that it's not normal. she just said that if it gets hard to let her know because it could mean something serious.

Get a blood test (pin prick) I assume you are in college, most RX stations on campus can screen for anemia and it i s only $2 if they charge at all.

Up your iron, take supplements if you must or get it from sources like dried fruit and leafy greens.
