I just found this great recipe for protein bars from Alton Brown, the only thing is they call for eggs. I checked the memories and couldn't find anything on egg substitution for protein bars. I was just wondering if anyone has tried a recipe similar to this and had any suggestions as to what I could use? Thanks in advance.

i suppose this isn't exactly cooking per se, as it is a simple sandwich. the one food i have yet to have vegan-ised is the ever popular bacon egg and cheese. i'm curious- what are your favorite "bacons"? i once made one of tempeh from VWaV, it was delish, i may use that. i also can find vegan slices of american cheese, and vegan rolls/bagels, no ( Read more... )

what can be used as a replacement for one tablespoon of lecithin granules in a muffin recipe? is this equal to replacing one egg (with ener-g)? I have no experience using lecithin, but am pretty positive it's used as an emulsifier. what else could I use ( Read more... )
