I'm a relatively unexperienced cook, but I did make a pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving that was absolutely divine. So I'm confidant that I can pull this one off, but I need some advice.

I thought this vegan cheesecake recipe unique enough to merit its own post, although somewhat similar ones can be found here and here (in comments). Of particular note, this recipe uses only one container of vegan cream cheese and no vegan sour cream (they can be prohibitively expensive) and has a yummy gingersnap crust. i still don't have a scanner or digital camera, so there are no pictures with this one, but suffice it to say, it is the best chocolate cake i have ever made: two layers of dark chocolate cake sandwiching a layer of chocolate chip vanilla cheezcake smothered with cookie crumbles and blackberry jam. SO GOOD.

I have tried How It All Vegan's Chocolate cheesecake, while very delicious, it was more of a really thick pudding.
Has anyone a firm cheesecake recipe that they know of? (FAQ is down) Or even maybe a secret ingredient to add more of?
I am going to make chocolate covered cheesecake petit fours, so they cannot be mushy!

Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for vegan pumpkin cheese cake? I have a friend who NEEDS this. It's her first Thanksgiving as a vegan and it would make her day if we had some for dessert. This Thanksgiving is my ten year vegetarian anniversary (vegan for six years) so I, uh, need some vegan cheese cake too. :)
