In my experience omnis really love the sparkled ginger cookies and the chocolate-peanut butter pie-thing from Vegan with a Vengeance. The sparkled ginger cookies are easy enough to be made by a toddler. The peanut butter pie is a little trickier with the agar flakes, but it's worked out both times I've made it.
can be made vegan by using egg replacers. i suggest making it into small loafs or cupcakes, not one big loaf, UNLESS its for an office party.
its more "rich" than "sweet" also its a shocker since most people have only had that horrid horrid radioactive "color not found in nature" door stop stuff they call fruitcake. so you get a twofer.... "vegan can be good" and "fruitcake is GREAT!"
as to cupcakes and stuff...... i foudn abook at my local BJs wholesale about decorating cupcakes. its REALLY cook. i am not sure of the name. but it only cost me ten bucks, the cover has a cupcake "rubber duckie" and it uses fairly standard cupcakes, but then jazzes them up with surreal decorations..
they make a "broccoli" out of a green tootsie fruit chew, icing past, and dyed green non pareils...it really looks like broccoli.
http://www.theppk.com/2008/11/chocolate-chip-cookies/ The best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made, vegan or not. Everyone who has tried them likes them. The only kind of unusual ingredient is tapioca flour, and they are super easy to make.

These are really good and I like the fact they don't have anything "scary" in them, the only unusual ingredient is flaxseed - a little goes a REALLY long way. I favor them heavily as an option when I'm feeding omni's and I'm making them today for "last day of class" and I actually made them when I finished a school practicum and they got devoured. "Dark Chocolate" is an appealing term for nearly everyone

Anzacs! Just follow the recipe but sub the butter with dairy free margarine. You need to let them cool before yout touch them or try and move them because of the bicard, but they're s simple and so delicious.
