Fennel Stalks and leaves

Oct 02, 2008 21:23

Alright I just used a fennel bulb in a casserole, and since I'm trying to stretch food, does anybody know of any recipes where I can use fennel stalks? Could it work in a soup stock or something? Thanks for any suggestions.

I always throw anything I can't figure out what to do with in to my freezer's stock bag. Lame, but it works. :)

My old roommate was from Boliva, and he would make this soup with fennel and quinoa in it.

You can use them as seasoning instead of parsley.

I had a fennel stalk + apple salad at a restaurant once. It was amazing.
