I don't know, but those sound delicious!!

I've never used agave nectar, but I would imagine that corn syrup would work too, since it's kind of the same consistency as honey...

I've never used agave nectar, but I'm betting brown rice syrup would work. They sound tasty!

Brown rice syrup works really well in rice crispie treats, so it would probably work here too.

Mmm, this sounds really good. I used to love granola bars, but they so many of them had long and complicated recipes with too many chemicals, preservatives and sugars. I've really interested in seeing how well these work for you.

And I don't know if it would be a good substitute, as I've never used it, but Just Like Honey might be something to consider.

i'm sure that would work well - it's good with rice krispie squares.

i was wondering if anyone had tried maple syrup as a honey substitute? i realize the flavors are different, but i was just curious how the consistencies differed when either was used as the binding substance in a recipe.

i was wondering that as soon as i saw the recipe cause i find agave nectar to be very expensive. but i think maple syrup isn't as viscous as honey, so i wasn't sure. but i bet they would taste wonderful, maple is one of my favorite flavors :)

I don't see why agave wouldn't work. It's a bit thinner than honey, so you should probably use a little less, but if you find that you've used too much, just use more cheerios and pb to make up the difference.
