My neurologist e-mailed me back and told me to come off the Keppra (slowly, like how I got onto it) and start taking the Verapamil.

I also changed my default icon to one from the show "Freakazoid!"  The exclamation mark is part of the name.
And if you've never watched it, you should.

Ima go lay back down.

My head still won't stop hurting.  I've spent the last 72-ish hours almost completely in bed, staring alternately at the wall and the TV.
Keppra isn't working.  The Prednisone did nothing.  In a few days, I start on Verapamil and start coming down off the Keppra.  Please, God, let this work.

Three and a half months of constant headache.
I've hit the maintenance dosage on my Keppra and I'm almost done with my Prednisone taper thing.  No change noticed yet.

I'm lucky I'm also taking antidepressants or I probably would've gone Kim Jong Il-crazy by now.

So I went to Duke on Monday to see a neurologist who specializes in headaches and pain management. According to a cousin of mine (who works at Duke's childrens' hospital) and my aunt (who's doing some sort of adjunct work with Duke's psychology/psychiatry thing), this Dr. Tim Collins is supposed to be the best guy there for what's wrong with me.
