[The freezing cold could definitely be accounted for by the snow on the ground. This is a definite first for Vatheon, and all the newcomers would be lucky to see it.

Yukari spots one of them now--since she knows no one in their right mind would walk out wet into something like this. She approaches.]

...Nah. Most of the time, we forget those things are even there. They don't talk, oddly enough. [They look like faeries.]

But I do.

[c: Sup, new person.]

[ right mind? she's wondering about that right about now ...

at the sudden voice she jumps a little, looking to Yukari with wide eyes for a moment before calming down enough to talk. ]

O-Oh, well ...

[ wait, this person obviously knows where we are. talk to her. coherently, please. ]

Hi?

[ that was brilliant. absolutely brilliant. ]

I-I mean, Hi.

[ that wasn't much better. Kohaku could have sworn that she had better people skills than this. ]

Hey, there.

[Yukari doesn't mind giving her a moment to compose herself! She'll just...kind of smile, even letting out a bit of a giggle.]

I...know you must have a lot of questions right now, but we should probably get you indoors and dried off, before I answer any of them...

[She doesn't have an extra jacket or something, but she'll put an arm around her shoulders, to trying to keep her warm with some body heat. She'll start to lead, wondering if this girl would even trust her enough not to break away immediately.]

What's your name?

That ... that sounds really good right about now, thank you.

[ sure, she's a little suspicious, but she's cold and wet and in an unfamiliar area right now, and this woman is offering warmth. she seems nice, at least. chances are good that this woman really wanted to help.

It's a little awkward when she puts her arm around her shoulders. Kohaku almost pulls away, but the small bit of warmth that came from that simple action was enough to convince her otherwise. she started walking with Yukari as she led her onward to ... wherever they were going. ]

K-Kohaku. And you?

As a member of the welcoming committee, Mitsuhide had been drawn to the streets by the many new arrivals. The cold weather has ensured that his usual welcoming package had some new additions; namely, a long fur-lined coat and a pair of gloves.

It's a towel that is pulled out first when he spots the soaked young woman. Vatheon is being rather cruel, to pull in its latest captives during the rare period of actual weather.

"Welcome to Vatheon." The samurai smiled, expression reassuring as he held out the towel. "I can answer questions for you, but first, use this. We need to get you warmed up, before you catch an illness."

Mitsuhide looked her over while he waited. She didn't seem to have been harmed before arrival, at least; it wasn't uncommon for the city to draw in those who had just suffered injury.

While she had been looking for somebody to answer her questions, she hadn't actually expected the help to come to her. So, Mitsuhide, forgive her while she stares at you in confusion for a few moments before taking the towel and nodding a little in thanks before actually verbalizing it.

"T-Thank you ..."

Oh, she was shivering. She hadn't realized that before. Kohaku quickly started trying to dry herself off as much as she could. It was a welcome feeling, especially after being soaked for the time that she was. It was only after she got herself about as dry as she could with that towel that she looked up, the towel acting as sort of a hood on her head, with curious eyes.

"So ... this place is called Vatheon? Where in Celirand is it?"

The idea that she may have gone to another world hadn't quite crossed her mind yet. This place looked a lot more like a tourist attraction, if anything.

"I do not know where this 'Celirand' is, my Lady, but as far as I know Vatheon is not a part of it." Mitsuhide bowed his head a little. "This place draws in souls from different worlds and different times; it is populated by people who were brought here the same way that you were. I know it is hard to believe, but it is the truth ( ... )

So she was in another world. That's what he was trying to tell her.

... so then this was like ... Quartzia. Or to another extent, Gardenia. It wasn't Celirand. It was another place, another world entirely ( ... )

Ever since the past events, Bartz had been busy, busy, busy. After buying something at the store, he was heading home through the plaza with his bags of groceries in his arms. Suddenly, he spotted a strange girl nearby with a ball of light surrounding her. Bartz put down his bags and walked towards her in concern.

"Hey, are you all right?" He asked her.

Kohaku looked up at Bartz, eyes wide for a moment. She wanted to nod and say she was all right, but truth be told, she wasn't sure if that was entirely accurate. She pondered for a moment on how to respond.

"I don't know."

Bartz had a confused look on his face, wondering if she was confused as he was. He pulled out an apple from one of his bags and offered it to Kohaku.

"Are you hungry, miss? You probably must be starving."

Kohaku didn't want to seem rude, but she was a little skeptical about taking food from people she didn't know. This guy seemed nice, but she .. didn't really know him.

She took the apple anyway, nodding a little in thanks.

"Thank you ..."

She didn't eat it, though. She just held it.
