Edward was out on the usual grocery trip when he saw a younger girl run past him, and... wait, was she crying? ...Damn his soft heart under all that metal, damn it to the hell it was probably bound for anyway.

He walks until he's right next to her, bending down so they're at the same eye level. Not so hard, due to his slightly shorter-than-average stature. ...Dammit, he hated seeing people cry like this.
It's pure chance that he happens to be around there. He'd been in a decidedly bad mood since the incident on Saturday, and now... Well, that all kinda melts away when he sees Namine crying. He walks up to her, placing a hand on her shoulder as he kneels down next to her.

Normally she would be shy about someone touching her, but she accepts him willingly, even putting her arms around him in return, tears still forming in her eyes.

Jack was on his way back to his apartment, a daily look around of the coral. He always seemed to find something or perhaps someone interesting. But his heart began to ache as soon as he lay eyes on the crying figure of a girl near the coral.
He was careful in approaching her. "Miss?" He was dodgey on what to ask her as well. His heart broke in two when he spotted people crying. "Miss, what is the matter?"

Jack got on his knees in front of her, oh gosh, he really wanted her to stop crying. Tears were never good. "He's gone?" Ow, that must really hurt Namine. he didn't know what to say to her- none of his own friends had decided to go home yet.
"Maybe it was best for him? Ah, perhaps they really need your friend back where he came from?" Hesitant hand on the shoulder, he doesn't want to be too forward.
[Sora happens to be one of the people already in the plaza when this happens, and when Namine rushes by, he stares after her in shock. his first reaction is to worry. He's never seen the girl so upset. Secondly, he wonders where Alucard is. He was always with her whenever she left the mansion. He was like a second shadow. Always.]
[Sora quickly makes his way over, kneeling down by the girl.]
