03: Love hurts

She had woken up, and it had seemed like any other day. The sun was shining through the window, and Namine stirred, a smile on her face. She got up and trotted over to Alucard's room, opening the door.
"Good morning, Alu-..."
Namine broke off, realizing that the vampire wasn't there. Well, maybe he was out. But she knew he liked to sleep during the day, so why was he gone? It was all very strange.
She took the SFC out of her pocket, deciding to call him to find out what was going on. The list of names went on and on. Ah, here it was. The A section.
But...his name wasn't there anymore. Her eyes widened, and the SFC clattered on the floor as she started shuddering in worry. It couldn't be. Not him. Not the man who kept her safe from every danger. He couldn't be gone, it couldn't be true.
Tears started pouring from her eyes, and she ran out the rooms, down the winding corridors. Maybe this was a joke. He would show up, pet her head, calm her down and everything would be alright again. But no Alucard appeared.
Her legs took her out the front door, and she ran to the coral, the lovely glowing coral which she had drawn so many times. Oh, why did this hurt? It wasn't supposed to hurt. Was this sadness? Anger? She didn't know. All she knew now was that the vampire who had loved her had gone home and left her behind. Left her alone.
The Nobody fell to her knees, covering her eyes with her hands as the tears kept flowing. Where could she go, now? Who would need a Nobody like her?
