I find it really annoying when I wake up fully alert, but within the next 20 minutes or so I start feeling tired again.

The consciousness is a lie.

Going from an overnights to daytime in one day does not work.
Hopefully I'll finish my morning shift early enough to afford a nap between shifts again. That seemed to work okay last time.
