Thursday I didn't go into work, as my sleep schedule has basically been fucked in half by the fact that we had a break. So, I woke up at about 1 on thursday, and went to bed about 1am yesterday morning, and couldn't get to sleep until 5:30. Cor. I did go into work only for the fact that it was payday, and the last day before a weekend. Then I ( Read more... )

Yea, my parents so would have killed you in real life. But the part about Hunter was pretty realistic!

well, my bookclub plans fell through, so 2 or 3. I'll probably be there a bit early, but 3-ish is still fine.

I'm thinking Macbeth would be the only name that would require the knowledge of a thespian.....that or someone such as myself who was forced to have a part when doing the play in high school English. I had no voice when parts were being assigned, so a friend thought it would be funny to volunteer me for one of the smaller parts.....my teacher looke at me and said "I dunno, I think Victoria's more of a Lady MacBeth".....so that's what I got stuck with...it was a pain having to do her "unsex me" speech in a class full of immature idiots. I suppose it's to be expected from people that couldn't pronounce "doth" properly after 3 years of Shakespeare though ( ... )

I'll be honest... I know nothing of that particular play. When we were reading it in class sophomore year, I had Lord of the Rings tucked into the pages. All I know is that thespians have some insane superstition about the name of the Scottish play.... or so I've been told ( ... )

We did MacBeth senior year...I think Sophmore year was Julius Ceasar or Henry VIII, depending on who the teacher was...I was home-schooled that year so I don't know for sure. And since we always had to do the Shakespeare plays with parts and I got stuck with a part, I had no choice but to follow it. Apparently the superstition is that someone always dies or gets badly injured anytime MacBeth is performed as an actual play. I never understood it myself ( ... )

I don't know what the whole thing is supposed to mean either. But, if someone says it to you, you're supposed to sing this and then pinch your nose: "Hot potato, Orchestra stalls, Puck to make amends." There's some hand clapping shit involved too, but yeah ( ... )
