I got up around 1:30 this afternoon. Immediately turned on the NHL Winter Classic - ice hockey played outside! Then I cooked bacon and pancakes for a first meal of the new year. My roomie says I'm going to heaven based on the quality of brunch, so I guess he liked it.

Never a good sign...
It's never a good sign when you want to curl up on the bathroom floor instead of in bed. Invictus
I saw Invictus this afternoon. I'm in love with this film. It managed to weave politics, systemic racism, and hardship together without being heavy-handed or preachy. With little gestures, the odd turn of phrase, a look between two people, a feeling was conveyed. Victory!
Long week is just about over! I have a few errands to run tomorrow and need to figure out if I have a way to get to my uncle's tomorrow. I also found out that there's a free H1N1 clinic tomorrow so I should probably haul myself down there for a shot. Bah. Just another thing to go on the list... -

Disappointing
For the last two years I've peripherally follow the news on Meredith Kercher's murder and the subsequent trials of her three convicted murderers. The Luke & Lorelai breakup (first breakup) episode just made me cry like a baby. So don't have another glass of wine and read The Road, you say? Ha. I defy thee and will do just that. ...

How is it Thanksgiving already?
Tomorrow I have work till 4, Christmas present pick-up @ 4:30, train to NJ @ 5, arrival at 5:40-ish, dinner with my Aunt I. and then very early Wednesday morning Aunt I. is driving me to the airport for my flight home. Public observing night wasn't as good as usual last night. The lecture wasn't particularly good and there was a computer problem with one of the telescopes so I didn't actually get to do much observing.
