It's unusual for me to bitch about work, especially online. But after an impromptu meeting with my boss (and another senior soli) I'm seriously wondering why I bother voicing my opinion.
I loved what my workplace used to be. I understand some of the rationale for some of the changes. But the tolerance for mediocrity is astounding, and really ( Read more... ) -

I got a trim from a barber in Elsternwick today; I walked in with my brochures / info re laser eye surgery and we got chatting.
Anyway, ater finishing the trim - it was minor, but still - I offered to pay ... and he refused. I offered again, he refused, saying "Karma." with a smile.
I certainly hope karma smiles on him. Thanks mate! -

The second step
I've toyed with the idea of having laser eye surgery for some time now. I know that it can't do anything galsses can't, but the convenince factor looms large given I rarely can be bothered using my glasses.
I saw my specialist a little while back, and we etermined the reason I don't use my glasses is that my acuity is the same with or without them ( Read more... )
