If it bears more resemblance to the skunks I'm familiar with than its looks, they only spray when they feel threatened. Perhaps you should try to calm it.

It's not impossible. It could be an defense mechanism to fend off any predators with eggs included in their diet.

[There's definitely cheer about him.] Tomato juice supposedly helps getting rid of the smell.
